CARE
Whether you are thinking about purchasing a new hat from Pretty Good Things or you already own your most favorite head accessory (from Pretty Good Things, naturally) you are wise to take good care of your fashionable wares.
WEAR YOUR HAT WITH MOXIE:
This is probably the most important rule to follow when caring and wearing your new hat. Chances are you are already a no-nonsense type person. Maybe you even think that caring about what other people think about you is for chumps! But maybe you're not on that side of the fence just yet, and that's ok...because you can always fake it 'till you make it, as they say.
Trust us when we say that headwear can change how you feel, look and act - - for the better! You'll start swaggering into rooms like you own 'em.
STORING YOUR HAT:
Always store your hats, fascinators and other hair accessories in a cool dry place (perhaps in its own box) and use clean, dry hands when handling your headwear. For long term storage do not stack or crush the hats as this could result in undesirable/irreversible feather crumpling, deformation of crown shape, etc.
HANDLING/WASHING YOUR HAT:
While throwing your headwear in the washer is NOT advisable, you may be able to spot clean some fabrications with mild soapy water, although this method isn't a surefire way to clean up...the best bet is to keep your hats out of rain / snow / precipitation / hair spray mist / dirty hands etc. as this could damage decorations, feathers or fabrication used in the construction of the hat. Some fabrics may spot if they get wet. Always test a small spot before jumping in if you absolutely must clean your hat.
FEATHER CARE:
If your feathers need a pick me up try steaming with a tea kettle or with a blast of steam from an iron.
